Building capacities in self-administration and third sector via innovative education

The purpose of the Project is human resource development of public administration employees of local and regional self-governments as well as of non-governmental organizations, with the overall objective to improve the quality of service provision of regional and local bodies as well as NGO’s to the public in Slovakia. Reference is made to the application dated 1 July 2008 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Analysis of educational needs of self-governments and NGOs through the realization of a survey; - Creation of an e-learning educational programme and training of lecturers for working with the software; - Implementation of e-learning educational programme; - Exchange of experience through professional internships in Norway and Iceland; and - Management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Agency EUROFORMES, n.p.o. Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the Center for Life-long Education from Iceland and the Norwegian Association for Distant and Flexible Learning from Norway. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Slovak government shall provide at least 10 percent of the estimated eligible project costs.
