Increasing efficiency and optimalization of system of management and administration of roads of Žilina self -governing region

The purpose of the Project is to extend the existing Automatic Vehicle Location system with components for registering risk factors along the roads in Žilina region, with the overall objective of promoting sustainable development by increasing the efficiency of road operation and maintenance, as well as traffic safety. Reference is made to the application dated 4 July 2008 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1. Design an information system solution as well as a requirement specification, 2. System development, i.e. prototype, 3. System implementation, 4. System maintenance, 5. Management, publicity and procurement services. The Project Promoter is Žilina self-governing region. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Slovak Government shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
