Reduction of public lighting energy demands in Tvrdošín

The purpose of the Project is to modernise and optimise the communal street lighting system in the town of Tvrdošín, with the overall objective of promoting the sustainable development of the town of Tvrdošín through the reduction of energy consumption. Reference is made to the application dated 22 March 2006 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - replacement of old street lighting arrangements on several streets in the town of Tvrdošín; - installation of new lighting; - replacement of some of the existing cable guides; - replacement of external unprotected low voltage guides with modern aerial cables; - replacement of material on existing low voltage concrete pylons; and - replacement of distribution panels. The Project Promoter is the Mesto Tvrdošín. The Slovak government budget shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
