Establishment of a Slovak centre of excellence for utilization of renewable energy sources.

The purpose of the Project is to establish a university centre for the development of renewable energy sources technologies in Slovakia, with the overall objective of scientific and technical support of development of renewable energy sources in Slovakia. Reference is made to the application, dated 22 March 2006, and additional information received through the Focal Point, dated 4 January, 6 March, 16 May, 14 June and 16 July 2007. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Purchase of equipment for the modernisation of a laboratory; - Construction of experimental models/set-ups for biological and thermal treatment; - Experimental work for biological and thermal treatment of renewable energy sources; - Dissemination activities on an international level in the form of workshops and a conference. The Project Promoter is the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The Slovak government budget shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
