The aim of the project is the operation and professionalization of a tailoring workshop focused on the products of traditional Roma embroidery with the subsequent establishment of a social enterprise. A significant benefit of the project is the direct impact on the economic strengthening of the position of the target vulnerable group, as the project will increase the employability and employment of Roma women living in the village of Rankovce. Other benefits of the project are the preservation of tradition and the development of traditional Roma embroidery skills, the acquisition of practical skills and social competencies in project participants and the promotion of a positive example and richness of Roma culture towards the majority of the society. The project will contribute to the elimination of prejudices and stereotypes among the majority of the population in relation to the Roma. The association plans to involve 40 Roma women and girls from the marginalized Roma community in the project.
