The project smoothly follows the successful ongoing project When I Can, I Do Sports, supported in the 1st call of the ACF program. It is based on the regular organization of sporting events involving various vulnerable groups, but due to the experience of the first project, these events will be divided into several levels and will be more specialized in selected communities. The educational part will also continue and the involvement of the created community in the organization of events will increase. The project also plans to launch a social enterprise focused on organizing sports events. The target group of the project are Roma people and people at risk of poverty, immigrants, children from children's homes and the disabled. The project plans to involve 75 participants from the vulnerable groups.
The project partner is DORKA n.o. - a center for family renewal in Košice, which provides social services to single parents with children and young adults after the end of institutional care. DORKA n.o.'s role in the project is to mediate the participation of their clients in sports activities and educational programs.
