The project responds to the fact that in Slovakia young people are only barely informed about the topics such as human rights, equality for all citizens regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, origin, language, ethnic, racial or confessional membership and these young people are not ready to actively oppose discrimination or acts against human rights. "Together, or against each other?" is an educational publication – glossary, which contains 30 terms associated with the civil coexistence, it also cotains 15 illustrations and 30 icons. The aim of the publication is to introduce young readers to the broader socio-political, historical and ideological context of civic coexistence. The terms in the publication can be divided into two categories. The first consists of phenomena that help and support civic coexistence. The second contains concepts of a contradictory nature that do not favor it, create obstacles for it or openly suppress or destroy it. The included terms are for example Anti-Semitism, Democracy, Dictatorship, Ethnicity, European integration, Extremism, Fascism, Humanism, Ideology, Communism, Conspiracy theories, Liberal democracy, Human rights, Migration, Nazism, Nationalism, Nation, Civil society, Citizenship , Populism, Rule of Law, Racism, Equality, Solidarity, Tolerance, Totalitarianism, etc. The result of the project is the publication itself, which is distributed to high schools and libraries in Slovakia to educate youth in the field of civic coexistance. This makes it easier for young people to learn the terms that will allow them to argue better on the above topics in a variety of discussions. Because the publication contains not only keywords and definitions, but also illustrations, it is more attractive for young people and is more likely to reach them. The beneficiaries of the project will be young people (15-19 years old), who will benefit from the project in the form of clarified terms and improved argumentation skills.
