The purpose of the Project is to provide specialised services and training for persons with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) and their families, with the overall objective of preparing persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders for the most independent life possible. Reference is made to the application, dated 14 July 2008, and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Project management; - activities aimed at the long-term development of a centre, including setting strategies, searching for future funding, strengthening the long-term capacity of the centre, etc.; - to carry out diagnostics (using early diagnostic tools/methods) and treatment (speech and occupational therapy, and remedial and psychological treatment) of persons with ASDs by qualified/licensed personnel; - to develop and run social inclusion programmes targeted at those suffering from Autistic Spectrum Disorders; - to develop and run programmes for the families of those suffering from Autistic Spectrum Disorders; - provision of counselling within the legislative area relating to Autistic Spectrum Disorders, including rights relating to health and social welfare, education and employment; and - awareness raising activities and publicity activities. The Project Promoter is the Center društvo za pomoc osebam z motnjami avtizma (CA) (Centre Society for Autism). Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the Institute of Applied Behaviour Analysis, Norway. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 10 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
