Digital Library of Slovenia - dLib.si

The purpose of the Project is to make a selection of digitalised Slovene publications available to the public on an electronic platform, with the overall objective of preserving the Slovene written cultural heritage. Reference is made to the application, dated 14 December 2006, and to correspondence with the Focal Point dated 15 February 2007. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: • selection of items to be digitalised; • establishment of a digitalisation centre; • design and building of a national repository for the permanent preservation of the digital written cultural heritage; • provision of internet access to materials published in digital form and materials digitalised from classic carriers; • development of a digital library portal; • development of a training course and training in the use of the equipment and software; and • publicity activities. The Project Promoter is the National and University Library of Slovenia. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
