THE LIPIZZANER MUSEUM

The purpose of the Project is to revitalise the infrastructure and offer for visitors to the Lipica Stud Farm, with the overall objective of highlighting the role of Lipica and the Lipizzaner horse as part of European cultural heritage. Reference is made to the application dated 18 December 2006 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - construction and installation work to establish a museum at the Lipica stud farm, including acquisition and installation of equipment and furnishings; - elaboration of the concept of the exhibition at the museum, based on research in Slovene and foreign institutions, and including preparation of exhibits, including production of a film; - promotional activities, including purchase of promotional materials and the creation of a corporate identity; - management of the Project, including legal, administrative and technical support. The Project Promoter is the Lipica Stud Farm (JZ Kobilarna Lipica). The Project is implemented in partnership with the Slovene Ministry of Culture and the National Gallery of Slovenia. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Ministry of Culture shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
