Project goal is the reinforcement of implementation of Decent Work Agenda for health and safety officers. Key activities include workshop with Norwegian expert, development of DW agenda recommendations and report, national roundtable for 50 participants and awareness-raising campaign. The project aimed at rising the awareness, capacity and competence of workers as well as establishing networks between main stakeholders in the Lower Silesia region.

The specific objectives to be achieved until completion of the project was:

  • Increased number of employees and enterprises that have improved decent work arrangements
  • Established networks between leaders from trade unions, non-governmental organizations and local communities for the exchange of best practices in terms of guaranteeing decent working conditions at the work-place
  • Pooled knowledge and expertise in terms of guaranteeing decent working conditions
  • Enhanced competence and capacity of workers to achieve the realization of their working rights which is 5/14 a precursor to the decent working conditio
  • Facilitated the exchange of ideas between the Norway and Poland to ensure that decent working condition standards are similar to the ones uphold by Donor State
  • Raise awareness of different stakeholders on decent work conditions on labour market
  • Improved capacity of the participant organisations and its community to advocate for the decent working conditions, educate workers

The project consists of three main activity areas

  • competence building and networking events,
  • development of Decent Work recommendations document and
  • awareness rising campaign.
