A model of integrated services for children at risk in disadvantaged areas of Bacau county

The purpose of the Project is to open and run community centres and a mobile unit in the poor, isolated, disadvantaged communities in Bacau county, with the overall objective of improving health the status and school attendance of the population in disadvantaged areas. Reference is made to the application dated 11 June 2008, and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: • provision of set-up for 4 community centres (in Godinesti and Panu villages, Podu Turcului Commune and at 32 Str. Marasti, Bacau), including recruitment of local collaborators; • set-up and operation of the mobile healthcare team; • purchase of equipment (vehicle, IT) for the mobile team; • organisation of training sessions for health promotion aiming at teachers, parents and children; • organisation of a thematic camp for the most active children; • project promotion and management. The Project Promoter is the FUNDATIA DE SPRIJIN COMUNITAR (Community Support Foundation). Subject to national law the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the Vultureni Mayor's Office and the Stanisesti Mayor's Office. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 10.95 percent of the total eligible Project costs.
