Increasing the capacity of the local public authorities from Romania to support children with disabilities in their own families

The purpose of the Project is increased support to families with disabled children to allow them to care for their children at home, with the overall objective of social integration of disabled children to prevent institutionalisation. Reference is made to the application dated 12 June 2008, and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - establishment of the project office, project management, - design and production of training materials and preparation of the team of trainers, - implementation of various training, - procurement of vehicles and equipment for the mobile teams, and - project publicity, evaluation and dissemination. The Project Promoter is the National Authority for the Protection of Child's Rights. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
