The purpose of the Project is to complete the traditional village of the Maramures Village Museum with hydraulic installations, with the overall objective of improving the protection and care of cultural heritage. Reference is made to the application dated 12 June 2008, and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - technical design and technical assistance; - construction of a canal for water supply ('mill stream') from the Ronisoara rivulet; - assembly and restoration of two water flour mills and a felting mill (dismantling, examination of components, replacing of damaged parts, applying of protection treatments, reassembly); - landscaping works to sector C of the museum, as well as organisation of the building site and installation of fire protection systems; - project management, including public procurement of construction activities and publicity activities / promotion, and the organisation of two exhibitions of Maramures folk technique in Norway, and training of restorers. The Project Promoter is the Maramuresh Museum. Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the Vest Telemark Museum, Norway, and Maramures County Council. The Focal Point shall ensure that Maramures County Council shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
