TA for National Focal Point and other management structures in Romania

The purpose of the Project is to strengthen the capacity of the National Focal Point, Certifying and Paying Authority, Central Finance and Contracts Unit, and Central Harmonisation Unit for Public Internal Audit, with the overall objective of ensuring proper and efficient implementation and management of the EEA Financial Mechanism. Reference is made to the application, dated 7 July 2008, and any subsequent correspondence through the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - information and promotion activities; - training and workshops; - monitoring, on-spot check, and audit of projects; - external audit services; - external experts and temporary assignments; - ex-post evaluation; - organisation and participation in meetings; - office costs; The Project Promoter is the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
