Program of Prophylactic Examinations for Mother and Child in the Municipality of Staszow

The purpose of the Project is to create a perinatal programme to offer better services for perinatal care and early detection of carcinomas in women's reproductive organs and breast glands during pregnancy, with the overall objective of reducing the mortality of newborns due to pregnancy complications and protecting the health of pregnant mothers in the Swietokrzyskie Province. Reference is made to the application dated 15 April 2007, and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Preparation of public tender and purchase of medical equipment; - Training of hospital employees; - Prophylactic examinations of pregnant women; - Treatment of women and newborns in case of detection of morbid changes; - Prophylactic examinations of mammary gland and uterine cervix cancers in women; - Publicity and management. The Project Promoter is the Independent Public Health Care Complex Center (IPHCCC) in Staszow. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the total eligible Project costs.
