The purpose of the Project is to increase the knowledge of governmental employees involved in consumer protection against unfair commercial practices through training, analysing and clarifying legal issues concerning implementation of the Consumers rights Directive, with the overall objective of strengthening the implementation of acquis communautaire in the field of consumer protection in Poland. Reference is made to the application dated 27 March 2008 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1. Analysis of compatibility of the Polish legislative solution for consumer protection with EU obligations; 2. Training and conferences in consumer protection and preparation of supporting material; 3. Development of internet tool (web site) and 4. Project management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Jagiellonian University. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
