Enhancement of implementing and enforcing environmental protection law by equipping laboratories of the Voivodship Environmental Protection Inspectorate in Warsaw with modern control and measurement apparatus

The purpose of the Project is to improve monitoring and testing capacity of the laboratories in the Voivodship Inspectorate for Envirormental Protection (VIEP) in Warsaw with the overall objective of contributing to environmental quality in the Mazowiecke Voivodship through better compliance with legal provisions on environmental protection. Reference is made to the application dated 28 March 2008 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Preparing, organizing and executing a total of 6 tenders for selection of control and measurement equipment and the subsequent purchase of the same equipment; - Installation and training; - Project management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Voivodship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection in Warsaw. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project costs.
