“Be healthy – we are aware so we take actions”

The purpose of the Project is to reduce the number of children and youth exposed to obesity, overweight and diet-based diseases in the Wielkopolskie region, with the overall objective to improve the health status of children and youth population in Poland. Reference is made to the application dated 11 April 2007 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - carry out surveys and research analysis; - preparation of education materials; - purchase and installation of equipment for the Regional Sanitary Inspectorate and for the poviats offices; - printing and dissemination of educational leaflets; - provision of training for professionals, teachers, children, parents and youth at the poviat and voivodship level; - organise awareness raising campaigns/events; - management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Regional Sanitary Inspectorate in Poznan. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
