“Education without borders - improvement of the public administration workers knowledge and skills - in order to strengthen the citizen society”

The purpose of the Project is to enhance knowledge and skills of the public service officers and civil servants in North-East Poland, with the overall objective of improving the competence and quality of performance of public service. Reference is made to the application dated 28 March 2008 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Public procurement of training services; - Language courses (English) for officers and civil servants of the police (in Podlaskie voivodship, in Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship and in Warminsko-Mazurskie voivodship); - Post graduate studies and specialized training for officers and civil servants of the police in Podlaskie police garrison; - Multiprofiled postgraduate studies for officers and civil servants of the police (in Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship and Warminsko-Mazurskie voivodship) - Language courses (English) for officers and civil servants of the State Fire Brigade from Podlaskie voivodship; - Postgraduate studies and specialized training for officers and civilian workers of the State Fire Service from Podlaskie voivodship; - Language courses (English and Germany) for officers and civil servants of the Custom Chamber in Bialystok; - Specialised training for officers and civil servants of the Custom Chamber in Bialystok; and; - Management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Voivodship Headquarters of the Police in Bialystok. Subject to the national law the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the Voivodship Headquarters of the Police in Bydgoszcz, the Voivodship Headquarters of the Police in Olsztyn, the Voivodship Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bialystok, the Customs Chanber in Bialystok and the Civil Defence District and Training Centre Oppland Starum. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Polish Ministry of Interior provides at least 15 percent of the total eligible project costs.
