The purpose of the Project is to promote the development of local cultural products from the Polish Tatra region and implement an intensive campaign promoting the region, its artists and artisans and their works, with the overall objective of contributing to the creation of a socially and environmentally friendly approach to sustainable development of the region. Reference is made to the application dated 28 March 2008, and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1. Development of cultural tourist products (set-up of framework, operation of a cultural research and activity centre, planning of workshops and events); 2. Production of promotion materials on local cultural heritage; 3. Organisation of events promoting local artists in the Sub-Tatras (organising of fairs, exhibitions and conferences and installation of 20 internet access points in the region); 4. Set-up and operation of a Gallery in Krakow promoting arts in the Sub-Tatras; 5. Project publicity; 6. Project management. The Project Promoter is the Tatra Agency for Development and Promotion of Culture. The Project shall be implemented in partnership with Malopolskie Consultative Association (Malopolskie Towarzystwo Doradcze). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Zakopane District Government provides at least 15 percent of the total eligible Project costs.
