Strenghtening of mechanism of social participation in the Capital City of Warsaw

The purpose of the Project is to increase the effectiveness of the public consultation process at the Capital City of Warsaw, with the overall objective of promoting local and regional development in Poland. Reference is made to the application dated 29 March 2007 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - provision of training for the municipality employees in the field of public consultation and mediation; - organize seminars on public consultations for the local communities; - study visits to the Norwegian partner, the City of Oslo; - develop and implement an internet platform for public consultations; - organise a campaign to be used as a model; - management and promotion. The Project Promoter is the Capital City of Warsaw. Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the City of Oslo. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the total estimated eligible Project costs.
