Caries protection of erupting permanent first molars in children

The purpose of the Project is to increase access and knowledge of dental care as well as prevention measures of caries for children in the Lower Silesia Region, with the overall objective of reduction of frequency and severity of caries of children's teeth. Reference is made to the application dated 11 April 2007, and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - purchase of new dental equipment; - implementation of prevention programme (including medical examination of 500 children); - database development; - project management and publicity activities. The Project Promoter is Akademia Medyczna im. Piastów Slaskich we Wroclawiu (Silesian Piasts Medical University in Wroclaw). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
