„Programme for development of nationwide network of auditory telerehabilitation centres”

The purpose of the Project is to increase accessibility to up-to-date telerehabilitation services, with the overall objective of improving life quality of individuals with hearing and speech disorders in Poland. Reference is made to the application dating 16 April 2007, and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - purchase of equipment for 19 rehabilitation posts and the Headquarters center; - purchase of ITC services - broadband symmetrical internet link for connection between the main centre and the satellite centres; - employment of the specialists who will operate the devices and will perform services connected with the realisation of the project; - organisation of trainings for medical staff involved in the process of auditory telerehabilitation; - publicity and management. The Project Promoter is the Institute of Physiology and Hearing Pathology. Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in collaboration with the International Hearing and Speech Centre and 18 auditory telerehabilitation centres in Poland. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 40 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
