Children and Youth Regional Burns Treatment Centre - Improvement of Quality and Availability of Medical Services and Prophylaxis

The purpose of the Project is to open the Children and Youth Regional Burns Treatment Centre in Szczecin and implement a prophylaxis programme with the overall objective of increasing quality and availability of medical services for burned children and prevention through increase of social awareness. Reference is made to the application, dated 13 April 2007, and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: •renovate and modernise Pavilion 16 to create the Burns Treatment Centre, •purchase of fittings and equipment, •implementation of a prophylaxis programme; and •publicity and management. The Project Promoter is the 'Children and Youth Specialized Independent Public Health Care Unit in Szczecin'. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project costs.
