Health amelioration of the local community concerning cancer affections with special emphasis put on large intestine cancer and breast cancer prophylaxis based on the Provincial Integrated Hospital in Elblag

The purpose of the Project is to increase the involvement of population in health prophylaxis programs in the Warmian and Mazurian Province, with the overall objective of decreasing the morbidity rate resulting from large intestine cancer and breast cancer. Reference is made to the application, dated 10 April 2007, and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results; •purchase of equipment; •employment of additional staff; •implementation of health promotion program; •preparation for screening; •screening examinations; and •publicity and management. The Project Promoter is the 'Provincial Integrated Hospital in Elblag'. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project costs.
