Waste Management in the City of Kraków – Collection Points for Waste Storage

The purpose of the Project is to improve the solid waste management in the municipality of Krakow through construction of new collection points for waste storage, with the overall objective of adapting to EU regulations for waste handling in order to protect the environment. Reference is made to the application dated 6 April 2007 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1. Construction of a large public recycling centre at the Nowohucka street; 2. Purchasing of equipment and containers; 3. Managing the results and 4. Project management and publicity. The applicant is the Krakow Municipality. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
