Facilitation of the functioning of the Voivodeship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection in Olsztyn and establishment of a staff training centre in the Local Branch Office in Gizycko to meet lake assessment needs of the State Environmen TRUNCATED

The purpose of the Project is to improve information and control of environmental conditions in the Great Mazurian lakes through monitoring, inspection and analysis of water quality with the overall objective of improving the environmental status through better compliance with legal provisions.Reference is made to the application, dated 11 April 2007 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - purchase of analytical and measurement equipment for laboratory use; - purchase of water analysis and inspection equipment with accessories for mobile use; - creation of an IT system for acquiring, processing, storing and reporting on water condition data and - project management, publicity measures and user training. The Project Promoter is the Warminsko-Mazurskie Voivodship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection in Olsztyn. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
