Extension and modernisation of the sewage treatment plant of effluent in Skepe

The purpose of the Project is to refurbish and extend capacity of an existing 9-year old WWTP for Skepe agglomeration, with the overall objective of improving public health, surface and ground water ecology. Reference is made to the application dated 11 April 2007 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: • Extension of treatment plant capacity to 800 m3/day (8,000 p.e.) • Conversion of existing sequencing batch reactor (SBR) plant to a continuous flow activated sludge facility. • Management (including supervision services) and publicity. The Project Promoter is the town and the commune of Skepe. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the total eligible Project costs.
