The modern Municipality - the program of complex training courses focused on strengthening of local government administration and enhancement of the process of democracy in Jaworzno

The purpose of the Project is to increase the professional qualifications of the employees of the Jaworzno Town Hall and of the local NGO representatives and social partners, with the overall objective to improve the quality of public services in Poland. Reference is made to the application, dated 5 April 2007 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Preparation and provision of professional training courses for the municipality employees and for the local partners; - Provision of language training courses; - Provision of postgraduate studies; - Create an electronic knowledge database; - Project promotion activities; - Project management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Town Hall in Jaworzno. Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the Agency for Local Development in Poland and the Agder Research, the Municipality of Kristiansand and the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities in Norway. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the total estimated eligible Project costs.
