Improvement in Security of Local Communities through Training Courses Ensuring Proper Organisation and Design of Public Space

The purpose of the Project is the development of competence of employees of regional, district and commune administration as well as of the police; with the overall objective of improving security in regional, district and commune administrative units. Reference is made to the application dated 7 December 2007 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: • Research in environmental design in the UK • Provision of training courses in security by design in Poland • Publication of a book on impact of architectural solutions on environmental design • Project management and publicity, The Project Promoter is the Higher School of Police in Szczytno (Wyzsza Szkola Policji w Szczytnie). The Project shall be implemented in partnership with the Norwegian National Police Directorate, the UK Home Office Anti Social behaviour and Crime Prevention Unit and the DSP-Groep BV Onderzoek-Advies-Management. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15.16 percent of the eligible Project cost.
