The purpose of the Project is to elaborate the decision support system for optimal management of wetland areas (metamodel), with the overall objective to increase biodiversity. Reference is made to the application dated 31 October 2007 and any aubsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Present status assessment - Target state determination - The identification of limitations for assumed environmental values for target state - Methods of achieving the aim and the estimation of results - Environmental and technical assumptions of restoration works - Project management and publicity The Project Promoter is Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with Institute of Land Reclamation and Grassland Farming in Falenty (Poland), Warsaw University (Poland), Lodz University (Poland), Polish Office of Regional Environmental Centre for Central and Eastern Europe -REC (Poland), Oslo University (Norway) and Kampinos National Park (Poland). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Ministry of Science and Higher Education provides at least 15 percent of the eligible project costs.
