Transborder eco-tourism as a chance of Nowy Sacz County development

The purpose of the Project is to mobilise and involve the local population in the field of eco-entrepreneurship and sustainable development in the Nowy Sacz County with the overall objective to contribute to the development of the eco-tourism in Poland. Reference is made to the application dated 10 August 2007 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - organise international conferences and produce reports in view to encourage best practice exchange; - produce a wide range of marketing materials, including a website, an educational and promotional film as well as leaflets in Polish and foreign languages; - produce radio broadcasts aiming to educate and raise people's awareness on sustainable development and ecological issues; - build a network of cross-border eco-trails with the foreign partners; - participate in fairs and events in Poland and abroad ; - management and promotion. The Project Promoter is the Powiat Nowosadecki (the Nowy Sacz County). The Project shall be implemented in partnership with the Municipality of Stara Lubowna in the Slovak Republic. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
