The purpose of the Polish - Norwegian Research Fund is to provide grants to joint Polish-Norwegian research projects and to finance workshops and seminars facilitating Polish-Norwegian research cooperation. The overall objective is to establish and strengthen the cooperation between Polish and Norwegian researchers focusing primarily on environmental and health research. Reference is made to the application dated 27 September 2006 and the Operational Program submitted to the Financial Mechanism Office 4 October 2006, and correspondence with the Focal Point dated 7 December 2006, 12 December 2006 and 24 January 2007. The completed Fund shall include the following activities and results: - Re-granting towards approximately eight selected joint research sub-projects and approximately 70 workshops or seminars. - Fund management. The Intermediary is the Information Processing Centre in Warsaw. The Fund is implemented in partnership with the Norwegian Research Council. The Intermediary shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible costs of the Fund.
