"Improvement of healthcare in poviat Gorlice"

The purpose of the Project is the increase of the number of patients treated in selected departments and of the quality of the treatment, with the overall objective of improving the health care in Gorlice poviat. Reference is made to the application dated 17 May 2006, and subsequent information received in correspondence dated 19 September 2006, and 5 December 2006. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - the renovation of the surgery, ophthalmic, laryngology, gynaecological-obstetric, casualty-orthopaedic and oncology departments; - the purchase of equipment for the obstetrics, children's, and anaesthesiology and intensive care departments; - support for seven health-care and prophylactic programmes (perinatal streptococcus infection preventive treatment; cervical carcinoma early diagnosis programme; nursing services improvement programme; hip dysplasia early diagnosis programme; programme of psychomotor early diagnosis of one-year old children; breast-feeding promotion at the new lactation clinic; programme of early diagnosis and preventive treatment of congenital diseases). The Project Promoter is the Henryk Klimontowicz Specialist Hospital in Gorlice. The Gorlice poviat shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
