Open Sports and Recreation Facilities Complex in Grodzisk Wielkopolski

The purpose of the Project is the provision of appropriate sports facilities and organisation of physical activity programmes, with the overall objective of health improvement among children and youth in the Commune of Grodzisk Wielkopolski. Reference is made to the application, dated 17 May 2006 and additional information received from the Focal Point, dated 31 July and 29 November 2006. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - the construction of different sport facilities (multifunctional areas, basketball and handball courts, running tracks, etc.); - the implementation of a five-year health programme 'Let's be healthy' (2007-2011) to promote physical activity (including extra-curricular sports and recreation activities, the organisation of annual sports events and purchasing of sports equipment). The Project Promoter is the Grodzisk Wielkopolski commune. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
