Creation of the domestic violence response system in Warsaw

The purpose of the Project is the creation of a platform for providing comprehensive support within the area of domestic violence in Warsaw, with the overall objective of increasing the knowledge and skills of the employees of the Capital City of Warsaw, its units and NGOs, to counteract the acts of domestic violence and to provide better quality services. Reference is made to the application, dated 31 March 2006, and to correspondence with the Focal Point dated 24 June 2006. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: • project management, including tendering; • development of a research report on domestic violence in Warsaw; • project opening and closing conferences; • research and analysis of training needs; • establishing programmes and training implementation principles, as well as a training manual; • training of 750 persons; and • publicity activities. The Project Promoter is the Capital City of Warsaw. The Project Promoter shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
