Region of Plock as European Region

The purpose of the Project is to provide training for representatives of local governments and NGOs in the Plock region and strengthen their cooperation, with the overall objective of accelerating socio-economic development and increased cohesion of the Region of Plock . Reference is made to the application, dated 28 March 2006, and to the correspondence with the Focal Point dated 13 November 2006 and 12 February 2007. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - professional, IT and language trainings for public administration staff, including postgraduate studies; - training for NGOs on the functioning of public administration and on application of public-private partnerships; - elaboration and implementation of training programs on social problems (incl. joint workshops for NGOs and public administration and aiming at joint development of solutions); - elaboration and implementation of training on good governance; - establishment of Centres for Social Education (in 16 locations); - preparation of the self-government administration for and implementation of ISO 9001:2000; - elaboration and implementation of the e-government concept in the participating communes. The Project Promoter is the Union of the Communes of the Plock Region. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 16 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs. The Project shall be implemented in Partnership among the member communes of the Project Promoter (Plock, Stara Biala, Blelsk, Starozreby, Drobin, Bulkowo, Bodzanow, Mala Vies, Wyszogrod, Gabin) and the communes of Brudzen Duzy, Lack, Nowy Duninów, Radzanowo, Slupno, Czerwinsk nad Wisla. The Project Promoter and its Partners will jointly co-finance the project.
