The purpose of the project is to restore the Adolfs Alunans Memorial Museum building, and to expand its facilities, with the overall objective of diversifying the functions and economic base of the museum, and preserving the Latvian cultural heritage. Reference is made to the application form dated 3 December 2008, and to any correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - project management, including public procurement; - restoration of the Adolfs Alunans Memorial Museum building, including works to the facade and replacement of the roof covering and windows; - adaptation of the museum building's technical infrastructure, including the purchase and installation of equipment, and the development of a programme for the diversification of museums' services and exhibitions; and - exchange of experiences and publicity activities. The Project Promoter is the Jelgava City Council. Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the Gederts Eliass Jelgava History and Art Museum. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the total eligible Project costs.
