Development of PPP in Daugavpils Fortress.

The purpose of the Project is to prepare renovation of the Military Hospital building in the Daugavpils Fortress, with the overall objective of attracting private financing to the public sector in the Daugavpils municipality to ensure economic development and regional growth. Reference is made to the application, dated 2 March 2007 and subsequent communication with the Focal Point, dated 4 October 2007. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Preparation of an overall implementation plan for the renovation of the Military Hospital Building at Daugavpils Fortress, including: a) preparation of design and feasibility studies; and b) development of PPP tender documents to include private financing in the renovation of the Military Hospital building in the Daugavpils Fortress; - publicity, and; - Project management. The Project Promoter is the Daugavpils City Council. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Daugavpils City Council shall provide at least 15 percent of the total estimated eligible Project costs.
