Utilization of local biomass for production of environmental-friendly fuel in Karsava

The purpose of the Project is to purchase and install production machinery and equipment to produce fuel briquettes and granules from wood wastes, with the overall objective of stimulating use of renewable energy, reduce greenhouse gases and contribute to sustainable economic development in the Karsava region. Reference is made to the application dated 23 April 2007 and subsequent communication with the Focal Point dated 26 September, 9 October and 4 December 2007. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Reconstruction of production building and extension - Groundworks and landscaping - Purchase of a production line for wood granule and briquettes - Purchase of front loader - Project management and administration - Publicity The Project Promoter is Limited Liability Company Ekobriketes. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 40 percent of the estimated eligible project costs.
