Block grant "Short Term Expert Fund"

The purpose of the Fund is to raise the level of knowledge and develop professional skills in the public sector, with the overall objective to increase efficiency, capacity and performance of services within public sector institutions and organisations and strengthen good governance principles within all priorities of the MoU. Reference is made to the application, dated 15 December 2006 and additional information from the Focal Point on 8 February 2007. The completed Fund shall include the following activities and results: - Re-granting towards selected sub-projects concerning training, research, working visits, seminars and workshop, and transfer and exchange of good practices that promote relations between Latvia, Norway and the EEA states. - Fund management. The Intermediary is the State Regional Development Agency (SRDA). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Latvian Government provides at least 15 percent of the total estimated eligible costs of the Fund.
