Equipment and renovation of comprehensive school playgrounds in Akmene district

The purpose of the Project is to equip and renovate five public school playgrounds in the Akmene District, with the overall objective of enhancing the level of physical activity and improving the health conditions among schoolchildren in the region. Reference is made to the application dated 13 January 2009, and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Technical preparation and preparation of tender procedure; - Reconstruction works at the Akmenes Gymnasium, Ramuciu Gymnasium, Papiles S. Daukanto Secondary School, Ventos Secondary School and Sauletekio School; - Purchase, supply and installation of sports equipment; - Management (including audit) and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Akmene District Municipality Administration. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 20 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
