Construction of a children’s independent living home in Moletai (SAGYNA)

The purpose of the Project is the construction of the Moletai district children’s foster home and the training of staff, with the overall objective of improving the living conditions for children who have lost parental care in the Moletai district, and improve their chances for a successful integration into the society as young adults. Reference is made to the application, dated 8 January 2009 and all subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1: Preparation and implementation of tender procedures; 2: Construction of one foster home building (construction of block AB and CD, construction of a connecting gallery and construction of the foundations of block E); 3: Purchase of relevant equipment for the foster home; 4: Training of specialists; 5: Management and publicity activities. The Project Promoter is the Moletai foster care facility for children. Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with Moletai District Municipality (LT) and the Utena County Governor’s Administration (LT). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Lithuanian Government provides at least 15 percent of the total estimated eligible Project costs.
