"Application of Biržuvenai homestead for the public needs"

The purpose of the Project is to restore the Birzuvenai Homestead Master's house and to adapt it to public needs, with the overall objective to preserve cultural heritage in Lithuania. Reference is made to the application dated 5 September 2007 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following results and activities: - Elaboration of technical project document, including architectural plans; - Restoration of the Masters’ house of Birzuvenai Homestead; - Establishment of a library (as a branch of Karolina Pranaiuskaite’s public library) in the restored masters’ house of Birzuvenai Homestead; - Renovation of rooms in the masters’ house of Birzuvenai Homestead for community activities for Luoke’s residents; and - Project promotion. The Project Promoter is the Telšiai District Municipal Administration. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Lithuanian Government provides at least 15 percent and the Project Promoter provides at least 16 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
