Imprisonment conditions improvement of juvenile offenders is the way to their successful re - socialization.

The purpose of the Project is to create improved living conditions at the Kaunas Juvenile Correction Facility, with the overall objective to facilitate the reintegration of juvenile offenders into society. Reference is made to the application dated 13 August 2007 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - renovation of prison premises and roof; - purchase of furniture and equipment (medical equipment, computer equipment, sports equipment and household appliances) and - management and publicity. The Project Promoter is Kaunas Juvenile Interrogation - Correction Facility. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Lithuanian State budget shall provide at least 15 percent of the total estimated eligible project costs.
