Reconstruction of some buildings of the Pakruojis estate and their adaptation to cultural and other public needs

The purpose of the Project is to restore the smithy and storehouse buildings of Pakruojis Estate and adapt them to new use, with the overall objective of preserving the cultural heritage in Lithuania. Reference is made to the application dated 9 August 2007 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Restoration of two buildings (smithy and storehouse) - Preparation of detailed technical design for the two buildings - Prepare and equip the smithy for traditonal functions - Furnish the storehouse for exhibitions and educational purposes - Project management and publicity work - Public procurement (licensed company required) - Project supervision and audit The Project Promoter is The Administration of Pakruojis District Municipality. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Lithuanian Government provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
