„Model Regarding Prevention,Early Detection and Qualitative Treatment of Breast and Cervix Uteri Oncological Diseases“

The purpose of the Project is to increase the early diagnosis capacity and breast and cervix uteri cancer treatment at the Centre Policlinic in Vilnius, with the overall objective to reduce the morbidity and mortality rate in oncological diseases in Lithuania. Reference is made to the application dated 31July 2007 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - renovation of the premises; - purchase of IT equipment (hardware and software) and of furniture; - purchase of medical equipment for diagnosis and treatment; - provision of training for the staff working in the field throughout the whole country; - organize information campaigns and raising awareness activities; - management. The Project Promoter is the Public Enterprise Central Policlinic in Vilnius. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Municipality of the City of Vilnius provides at least 11 percent and the Project Promoter provides at least 4.3 percent of the total estimated eligible Project costs.
