The purpose of the Project is to upgrade laboratory diagnostic facilities and conduct target research in cancer genetics at the National Institute of Oncology, with the overall objective of improving the effectiveness of cancer prevention and treatment in Hungary. Reference is made to the application dated 9 May 2008 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - purchase of equipment and development of the biobank; - research activities; - implementation of research results into clinical practices; - dissemination of results; - project management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the National Institute of Oncology. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the total estimated eligible Project costs.
