“Save what can be saved” – Applied neurological research using high-field magnetic resonance imaging

The purpose of the Project is to develop a knowledge centre in neuroimaging by carrying out research activities with a strong scientific, application-oriented programme in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) protocols aimed at advancing the treatment of endemic central nervous system diseases at the NEURO CT. Pécs Diagnostic Centre, with the overall objective to enhance the scientific research in the field of health in the South Transdanubian region in Hungary. Reference is made to the application dated 29 December 2008 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - research activities in the area of diagnostic imaging, neurophysiology and neurosurgery; - implementation of research results into clinical practice; - dissemination of research results; - management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the NEURO CT. Pécs Diagnostic Centre Ltd. Subject to national law the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the Pécs University. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 40 percent of the total estimated eligible Project costs.
